The fireworks picture is actually a composite of many pictures I took during the show. It is very similar to (but not as good as) the "Grand Finale" that happens every year.

Every
year we have a few friends over to celebrate the Fourth of July. There is
always lots of food and an abundant supply of drink. Everybody brings
something to eat or drink, and Triple Nickel has graciously made his
famous shrimp boil. I usually BBQ burgers and hot dogs and
lots of chicken. We top off the
celebration by watching the City of Deer Park's firework display. My
backyard backs up onto the park where they set off the fireworks display (maybe
150 yds away). I
have an elevated deck where we can get above the traffic and mosquitoes.
It has an un-obscured view of the fireworks. It seems that every year we say the
same thing, "t was better than last years".
